Round up of the last few weeks! July 2, 2009

The last few weeks have been just crazy – first my eyes had a very bad reaction to working too many hours on the computer,  and then my webmaster completely overhauled the website www.bfkbooks.com. Then  there were a couple of interviews that I did – Dosh Archer being one of them.

On top of that Just Giving decided to completely redesign their website and what a complete disaster it’s been.  People are deeply unhappy and donations are either going missing or donaters  being denied permission to donate! How mad is that! Well let’s hope they get their act together soon or a huge chunk of people are going to be swanning off to the new Virgin Money Giving to be launched later this summer.

4robertrankinandvicky2009_320x209Also did and interview with Robert Rankin who was just brilliant and many times I just completely collapsed in a heap of laughter as you can see from the photo on the left, and of course Robert’s looking like butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth! That interview will be posted on the main website later on today.

This heat 33C  is also making life just a bit too much – have got all the fans going so I’m not oding too badly!  Will write more when I’ve finished posting the latest reviews and interview – but keep checking on the main website for more of the latest posts.

    Hi Vicky,

I’m so sorry that you’ve been affected by JustGiving’s redesign. As we’ve said on the blog, we clearly didn’t test the new site enough, and we’ll learn from that. We’ve fixed most of the bugs now and the site is performing much better than it has been, but we’re still working really hard every day (and most nights) to get it to be as good as it was.

But once it is at 100% again, we’re confident it will allow us to make it even better than it was, with much improved products and services for people like you to use to raise money for the charities you care about.

    Jonathan (JustGiving)

We adopted three boys with various forms of autism and appreciate those who would blog on such an important subject. People more than ever need to be informed about autism and what life is like for those so affected since this debilitating condition seems to be on the rise.

KJ what you’re doing is absolutely amazing because it takes a lot of physical and emotional strength to cope with autism. Have you listened to my Tony Attwood interview on the main website http://www.bfkbooks.com – or you can also go to the Gary McKinnon post in the Autism genre and click on the interview there. Good luck with you sons they have terrific parents.
